Hi, I'm thinking of using my digital marketing background to help companies scale their businesses across borders and oceans. Right now I'm trying to think through the best industries to target.
-- Big-ticket B2B is one thought. The high customer value gives us more room to spend on on finding valuable international clients.
-- On the other end of the scale, I'm thinking of helping local product makers find international distributors. A bit more hesitant on this option, because although getting distributors is certainly a high ticket sale, I can see a lot of small mom-and-pop operations wanting me to build a global business for them and hoping to pay basement rates for the privilege.
-- Both of these ideas are still vague on particular industries. Import/export is one I'm thinking of targeting for obvious reasons (pre-sold on the idea of expanding globally).
What other industries do you guys think would scale well internationally, or other have big aspirations to seek out new, foreign markets?
