What are some side-hustles you've done in order to pay for something you wanted?

Anything considered a "hustle" and not necessarily a CENTS-based Fastlane

I've seen a few posts here and there about an FL member wanting a luxury car (or what have you) but being unwilling to pay for it because it didn't abide by the FL mindset. So, instead of slow-laning the purchase, they opted to find, or make, an opportunity to profit off of something completely unrelated in order to pay for that desire.

The first time I read one of those responses I thought it was so cool, and wanted to see if anyone else has done something similar for a desire they wanted?

The Question
Have you ever created a hustle in order to pay for something that would have been a slowlane, impulse purchase otherwise? What was your experience like, and how did it go?
