Today I discovered the forum, started reading "THE" book and joined.
I went to one university when I was 18. After a year decided it is not for me despite having all my exams. Going to another school and doing a Bc. degree (in EU after 3 years in high school you get this degree). Instead of learning for 3 years I was there 4 years, because never really liked going to school. Then going to make the university and in last year decided to "make a pause". Or stop? Before getting graduated in university. Most people tell I am crazy. I have the opportunity to finish the school next year (if I want).
I was getting "pause" from the school now two years. I have tried some things - nothing worked. My passion was photography. My plan was to become a photographer. I thought if I start to shoot for magazines it can become my paid job. The realization came when my pictures were published in magazines like Playboy and FHM that these magazines do not pay. They tell it is PR for you to have your pictures there. This made the situation a bit difficult, because my plan was ruined. From that time I learned. I read books, I watched courses, I enrolled on seminars. I really like to learn - what I want. Not what is told to me (in schools). I think I know a lot of things, except how to make money from my knowledge.
I can do SEO, marketing, have some basic sales skills, take photos on pretty high level (everything you ask from glamour until architecture), can retouch and make from average woman a supermodell, I have some good ideas on products, I can do great cocktails as I was a bartender, can make professional video and also color grad/edit it. I think I can do lot of things others cant, but have no clue how to monetarize on in.
Currently I am in the process of opening a new photo studio. I am opening and paying for rental more than a year. And believe me without money it is not easy. Financially I am at bottom. So, it either works or I can close it probably next month without even ever opening it. Had problems with web designers (hired three of them), with the furniture and with the guy who I am renting the place from. I can tell you the whole story, but it is too long and no one would even believe it is possible to have so many problems slowly one after other which would cause a more than a year delay in opening a simple studio.
I would like to make a blog where I document every money making attempt I do. So others can learn from it and yes, also to make some money from it. But it believe in giving value, so the price I will ask for every tutorial/ebbok etc will be 10times less as I know people can do with it in one year.
As I told you I just started reading the book and I hope I can learn some new things from it, from the forum and I also hope I can get advice here. That is one of the reasons I am here. To learn and to share my knowledge.
