Hello, people who have acquired multiple businesses successfully, how are you able to increase top of the funnel deal flow? I go through the entirety of BizBuySell (the McDonalds of buying businesses) but the vast majority seem low quality even given the limited information.
I have a corporate CPA who specializes in looking at P&L's/Balance Sheets/Tax Returns, and the vast majority I send to her she rejects right off the bat, claiming the multiple the business is asking for is way too high for it's risk profile.

- Target SDE / Owner Profit: $300K–$600K
- Minimum SDE: $250K
- Max SDE: $1M
- Target valuation: 2.5x–4.0x SDE
- Max purchase price: $1.5M (before working capital)
- Max 40 hours a week operating after 4-6 months onboarding (with hours dropping to near absentee levels after CRM/automation/AI integrations)
- Must run mostly without owner involvement in skilled/unskilled labor
- Business can be niche and complex
- Ability to scale is irrelevant
