I have found a highly searched keyword with no videos ranking on google front page for the term.

I made my username on google the same as the keyword.

I made my description the same.

the title of the video the same.

I have got a different video to come up on front page for a specific keyword before but im not sure what i did i believe i just put it on youtbe (also that keyword was not highly searched it was for a small business. )

thank you.

THIS PICTURE IS AN EXAMPLE IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ME.

Video (esp. Youtube videos) are quickly becoming the newest way to dramatically increase first page SERP standing. Google ranks new videos very highly. Small businesses should really be trying to lay claim to as much video real estate as they can, because as the concept catches on it will be more and more difficult to get your video to rank. In some instances, if a video has the proper tagging with keywords, and the competition is low, it can show up there almost immediately. The higher the competition, the more views your video needs in order to have a chance to show up on the first page.

I believe that video is going to be the next huge thing in SEO for the next few years. Think about it from Google's perspective:
1. percentage-wise, the vast majority of searches are for information (as opposed to buying something), and as it stands now most of the videos (that are on serious, non-humerous topics) are quite informational (as opposed to infomercialish)
2. videos have a form of built-in social verification, as measured by how many times they are viewed and commented on (something that Google very easily tracks in-house)
3. videos, especially good informational videos, are not as easy to make as a lot of people think, and are not currently being used as a spam vehicle, making it a more trusted packages by Google as opposed to a website (as compaired to those crappy websites with no good information and tons of crappy links, which are quick and easy to make...Google hates these, and esp. hates that the still find their way on some first pages of search results)

funny you should say that throttle forward:

i made a video and emailed 300 random people. I realized if you send a video some email companies will have the video click able and viewable in the actual email!

Anyway so i sent out 300 emails and this is pretty funny but my conversion rate was not 1% not 5% not 20% but 50% in under 2 hours.

over 150 views on the youtube video from 300 emails i sent out in under 2 hours. I am not for spam or anything like that but there is huge potential for marketing yourself with a video right now. At the end of the day its about making money not getting youtube hits so all this stuff does not impress me, it comes off wrong to the customer and most likely will not pay for whatever you have.

Im sure someone can make use of it but most companies would just be wasting time. I actually deleted the video at one point and made a better one. When it was deleted people were searching my youtube user name and viewing the new video at a crazy rate. Maybe im just good at it i have no experience.

Right now google is bringing up no video results for the keyword im targeting, it kind of worries me maybe they just dont for some words but we will see. i notice for the small biz i got first they only come up after 5 or 6 pm.

In my opinion, it's probably because of the part of the web lifespan that we currently inhabit, but videos are practically magic right now.

In 2001, people were so impressed that you were selling from a web site that they give you "cred" rightfully or wrongfully.

That's long gone.

Now, if you have a video...even a fairly simple/crappy one...you can still get higher "cred" with lots of visitors.

I have found, in the past few months, that if I do NOTHING ELSE but utilize a video as part of the marketing campaign, it will have DRAMATIC effect on conversion rates.

For me, it's actually strange because (right now, temporarily) it's way easier for me to slap up a 10 minute video that is, essentially, a shorter version of my (long form) sales letters and they do WAY better than sitting down and writing the sales letter.

I've done quite a bit of research into this and there seem to be lots of video courses out there...

I think I have (kind of) reverse engineered the "formula" that works (at least for me) in creating these videos.

I'd be really interested to see if anyone has discovered/purchased a course on video marketing that they found to be really good.

@Robert Francis - totally agree with you here. I have also noticed, both in the videos I have made and in the videos I have watched, that a lot of the rules and assumptions about video production have been thrown out the window. People will watch a "long, boring" video, made with standard or even poor equipment, with somewhat poor lighting, so long as they trust the person in front of the camera and feel that there is genuine value in the information being presented.

MJ captures this quite well in his videos. I think he realizes (correctly) that it's not about the setting, backdrop, cutting between cameras, fancy editing, etc - it is about developing an authentic feel with both his videos and his underlying message. People (and seach engines like google) are constantly in search of authentic (also known as the "authentic authority" in a particular niche) - and this is why I feel that videos will explode in popularity and as an SEO tool until they are exploited by those whos purpose is not the authentic dissemination of information.

Have you thought about using a video syndication tool like TubeMogul.com (free) or TrafficeGeyser.com to blast your videos out to multiple video hosting sites? This will really help your page ranking!

tubemogul is kind of cool. You need to make accounts for all the video sites it blasts out which i guess is obvious but defeats the purpose. I make my user name the same as the keyword i am targeting so every video i use a different account. When there is low competition it seems to be working amazing and im sure as they each build credibility they will only get stronger considering when you google for example

"find cars" my youtube user name account is find cars and all my keyword and description is the same. I have no experience but it made sense, if anyone has any advice on why this is wrong or right let me know, thank you.
