I can guarantee you that no matter how bad you think your life is, it's by far not as bad as what Gabriela Shea had to live through as a teenager.
Growing up in Guatemala she had to endure being kidnapped, abused, raped, and carry her abductor's child. This went on for years. Add to that family abuse and you've got enough to break most people.
