Just read an amazing analogy from a great book. I am sure most of you have read this, but for those whom haven't or the few that forgot here it is;
Picture a donkey, dragging a cart, with its owner dangling a carrot just in front of the donkey's nose. The donkey's owner may be going where it wants to go, but the donkey is chasing an illusion.
The carrot is a metaphor for money. And "you" (people) are the donkey.
If you could understand this simple frame you would understand why society is flawed at its core. It teaches you to be both (nay you "are" both) the driver and the donkey. However, in reality the person in the fastlane is the true driver. Because you are simply chasing the $$$$ in front of you thinking that your goal is the money. In truth, the goal is the drivers destination, and you were simply a pawn to accelerate his expedition.
The next time you question any financial choices ask yourself the following questions; Are you driving the cart to your ultimate destination? Or are you the Donkey, a tool for the driver to reach his/her goal. Are you being manipulated with the fantasy of financial freedom for your time/service?
