Tapping into customer mind / niche

Since I never bought anything online except books I have a hard time understanding behavior of the customer. Furthermore, I am not passioned about anything except maybe South Park, to be honest. But I would never buy some "fan" stuff.

Do you guys have any advice how to get into such mentality? or any good resources about this topic?

I am not sure what you are trying to understand here. Or more accurately, I don't get the why.

Is your intention to start selling a product online?

A distinction to get you going is that people who buy online fall into 2 categories:

1. People who want something specific, then go online and do market research for it
2. People who just browse the web, stumble upon an interesting product and are persuaded to buyi it.
