Had an idea for a product a totally new type of dog harness. Developed and tested a VERY crude prototype.


How the heck do you go from a rough crude prototype to manufacturing the finished product. We need to test various materials, buckles and fasteners to see which work better and last longer.


What does someone do from here? Make 10 rough prototypes and search alibaba for manufactures and send them out to see if they can improve upon the design? Gave up looking for local manufactures because they laughed and said to "come back when you have a finished product you want us to make."

Any direction is greatly appreciated... just looking to be pointed in the right direction...

What is the next step once you have your home-made rough prototype?
