I've been in talks with a new startup that is going to create heat pads. Now basically I'm getting involved at about 50% because they know I can kick their asses into gear and go get some stuff done asap.
I've agreed to maybe dial back the percentage later on, since its their baby, and demanded a higher price during the volatile startup phase.
Anyways, so, my thoughts on this is that I am going to replace my current income streams with this, so I can get some startup experience (marketting, sales, scaling, manufacturing) and switch from my current 4 hour work week income into a more lucrative work week with a much higher ceiling, so I can pay for costs of my other business more smoothly.
I figure I study biz all damn day anyways, so I can just use this to study that stuff, and replace what I'm currently doing.
I'm kinda on the fence about it. But it really does seem like the margins will be good and that I'll be able to sell the products.
I already outlined them a plan on what to do, and a schedule, so am just waiting to hear back.
Fingers crossed, maybe I can get total financial independance before I even launch my prefered biz. Haha, wouldn't that be a smooth move.
Basically, gotta check out FB and youtube add prices, have a chat to a few bloggers, get some adds designed, get a website up, get it on some other online stores maybe.
Is too annoying for me to do, until I hear back from them on what the prototypes are gonna cost though, so am waiting at the moment.
If everything turns up green, I guess I'll do up a few months work for my current income stream, then sit down, and nail out details on this and try to get a ton of presales, interest, yadda yadda yadda.

Does this sound like a cool idea to you? Stupid? Lemme know, cuz I wanna really think this through.
Are my anxieties and hesitations unfounded? And have I found a great little opportunity for improving my income stream?
I think it is possible, because the only reason I landed this idea was because I had a clear plan of action. And I'm wondering, if in reality, that is all you need to be successful in biz, and once you can do that, businesses jump through hoops to get in your way and give your their money
It seems plausible... But I am way too fn green to trust myself.
