Hey, I just stumbled upon your thread.

I just happen to be learning Ruby on Rails too, and I purchased this course on Udemy:

It's huge (42 hours of content, 376 lectures).

It's all-inclusive though, meaning it even covers a bit of html/css and pure Ruby. It says it's aimed at total newbies although it's always better to know at least a bit of html/css/js and Ruby.

I completed 35%, and so far I dig it.
The lessons are concise and clearly laid out.

Strongly recommend.

Just make sure you grab the course at a sale price (Udemy often offers discounts). I paid it around $14.
Well, to be honest, seeing the content, it's totally worth the original price of $300 (once you learn RoR you'll be able to make five figures in no time).
But obviously if you have it cheaply, get it that way :p

I started with free tutorials on Youtube. Search for Mackenzie Child. Pretty good walkthroughs for total noobs.
