Hello my name is Ricardo Scotta,
I am 54 years old, married, father of one daughter and Brazilian.
My father was an entrepreneur and, reading the book The Fastlane Millionaire (TFM),
I discovered that He was the type of entrepreneur who was actually an employee
disguised. He had a restaurant.
I started working with my father very early, I believe that when
I was 14 or 15 years old. And, I hated work. We woke up
at 6 in the morning and We went to bed at 11 at night. And during this time,
it was just work, work, work from Monday to Saturday.
We took only one week of vacation a year.
Writing this now, amazingly, I realized why I thinked being
employee was an advantage. Imagine working "only" eight hours
a day, have a free weekend and a 30-day vacation?
Doesn't it look wonderful?
It took me thirty years to realize that this is not life.
For a long time in my life I was a Sidewalker. When I
became a father, I decided to take responsibility and became a
Slowlaner. I've been a Slowlaner for 15 years.
The first pages I read on TFM book reality shock for me.
I still have denial moments. There was so many years conditioned to be
mediocre.
But, I recognize that I need help. I'm not
saying I want someone to do something for me, that's not it.
What I need is support, a few words of encouragement and
guidance, when I stop believing that I can change.
I want to be an entrepreneur and have control of my destiny.
Thanks for the opportunity to vent, it took a weight off my
my chest.
Cheers,
Ricardo Scotta.
