The book Rework from 37signals has promoted the small web app development business. Small in headcount, but not in revenue. Definitly not in the ratio of revenue per employee.
But they don't like outside investment, because of the loss of control. "Outside investment is plan Z".
On the other hand you can leverage a repeatable businessprocess by a substantial investment (venture capital).
What are your thoughts about this area of conflict?
