I've played poker for the last 5 years, I've made a decent amount, but not 7 figures. I have become completely burnt out, hate the reactions when I tell people what I do for a living, and with diminishing income as games become harder it is probably wise to start transitioning to another career. I have no interest in working some corporate job since everyone I know who has one seems miserable, or in finance since I believe I will just burn out in a few years ago.
Last few months I looked at going into real estate since prices are low at this point, but with real estate prices in NY, my lack of credit history, and my past career, it doesn't look too feasible.
So I'm back to square one, looking for ideas on what to do. I'm new to this forum, and it is pretty generic to ask if you could point me in right direction, but could someone recommend me some books/posts so I could be able to brainstorm a bit in what directions I am able to go. I haven't even considered anything besides web based business/real estate.
