I'm working with Andres on a website that will hopefully solve the parking dilemma near colleges across the US.
right now I am looking at creative ways to raise money for the site and I thought of pre-selling advertising spots on the parking passes (edited) that students will print out and put in the windshield of their car.
could you guys help me with what the best way of approaching the businesses would be with out having the website up?
I would obviously dress up and be extremely professional, and show them a print out of the layout and the function of the site. I would also show them a 'mock' parking pass with a fake advertisement on it to show the product that I am trying to sell them.
I figured I would offer something like $30/month in 3 month packages, with 3 additional months free since you are helping me get the site completed.
ps. just a side note, there will be 6 ads per piece of paper...the parking pass info will be in the middle section and the ads will run vertically 3 per side
