Hey guys,
Been a long time since I attempted another venture. Had a few failed ventures in the past, mainly because I was young, mind set wasn't right etc. I could go on. I now see them as learning curves as I look back and think 'WOW, why on earth did I do that' .
My story
I got laid off from my job about 3 months ago, the following month later my fiancé got laid off too. Did I rely on the income from those jobs? Yes. Do I regret it? In a way no, because it's been an eye opener. It's easy to sit and read things all day about not relying on income from a 9-5, but until you experience it that's when it hits. I don't regret living off my pay check as I was able to get the house with my fiancé, we've got 2 amazing German shepherds and I finally got the sports car I wanted. Now here's where I do regret it, I run my credit card up to the max in the mind set of 'It's fine I can just pay it off next week' Did I pay it off? No. I kept spending.
The concept
People will be sitting there thinking 'Really... Another pet subscription box' You know I thought the same, until we implied our experience into the concept. If anyone has or has had German shepherds you will probably know that they can have some problems with their stomach. Certain foods, treats can trigger there stomachs to go into overdrive which then you find yourself cleaning that food or treat off the carpet. (Disgusting I know) Well this problem we have with my youngest of the 2, I've spent £££ trying different foods, different brands of treats etc to find something I can spoil him with.
Ok where you going with this?
Without giving away the full execution the subscription box is something we can do pretty much automated while building a client list for our main goal. Don't misinterpret this for some crappy little box. Full effort will be put in and will grow it like any other box, infact we've already put together 2 months worth which are on par with the rest in the UK. But our main product isn't actually the subscription box.
Sorry if it's boring and confusing, I felt like I had to get it out and onto the screen to clear my thoughts. But it does give an insight to what I'm working on and can discuss experiences, faults etc for anyone who has considered or considering going down a similar path.
Thanks guys.
