My CPA is recommending I start doing a payroll. Any suitable, cheap options for a single employee (me)?

Intuit, which i access through Bank of America. I think it's just $30/mo -- sign in twice per month and its done, including the messy paperwork. The best $30 anyone can spend if you had the unfortunate task of trying to do payroll manually...

We developed our own payroll software in house.

We've been wanting to offer this (and more) software to other businesses too. If anybody is interested, message me.

I use Square. It's $35 per month. Set it on automatic and you never even have to log in.

I like Gusto, very user friendly. Also, able to to just set it up on auto-pilot so you touch it once and never think about it again.

The other part I like is the integration with other benefits - seamless integration with Guideline for 401k, ability to have an HRA administered, etc. All for a fee of course, so you'll have to decide what the value of convenience is to you.

I have not tried all the software options out there, so there may be cheaper ones that are just as nice, but Gusto works for us as far as not having to think about it once it's setup.
