Is anyone here successful with pay per click? Do you use things like market samarai?

Are there free resources or things like maket samurai are needed in order to be effective? Do you think it is wise to just copy and paste your competitors keywords? I do not like the idea of this as it seems too easy and most likely they are doing something that can justify their keywords vs mine.

I have seen seen some pretty crazy prices on PPC, wondering how you deal with it. I wont complain because a customer is generally worth alot, but as we all know reducing costs never hurt, ever.


How do you scale long tail keywords... if you want "insurance" but then want to add all of the states like

nj, new jersey and so on?


Also what do you use to come up with as many cheap long tail keywords as possible?
