too add this feature to my website w/out having it as an added expense.

from what i gather blogging helps with SEO and keeping your site up to date and active

Oh I see. Well I wouldn't advise doing an automated blog because they are almost always seen as spam. And where will the content come from? Other sites? If so, that's stealing content and can get you in trouble.
