PROBLEM. One of the biggest issue these days is that society is split in to two or more separate groups about any subject: conservatives and liberals, religious and atheists, socialists and capitalist.... No mater what news channel and/or source you take. There is one side point of view pushed on one source and opposite on other. People getting more separated and close minded in their own circle of information as result of social and news media targeting groups of people who spin in same circle.

SOLUTION. News portal that every single subject is reviewed from both(or more sides). Literally screen of phone/tablet/computer is split in 2 sides and both sides has equal space to express their point of view. Users has option comment each side, vote and get in to discussion. Literally very concentrated news in text, video and maybe audio format, but equal for both sides.

GOAL. Users have option compare and get information from both narratives, no discrimination, equal space, time positions...

Do you think it is needed? Would you use such a service?

Ground is trying to do something similar. The fact that they exist means that your idea likely has merit.

I would check out The Flip Side as well! They send a daily email with major topics, and then curate the responses from outlets from different sides. So it might be:

Canada promises to nationalize donut chain.

The Right largely considers this to be government overreach.

[*shockingly* A list of sources with actual paragraphs from the original content ]

Many on the Left believe this to be vital to maintain widespread obesity rates.

[*shockingly* A list of sources with actual paragraphs from the original content ]

And then it repeats this with other major topics in the news. But it only covers a handful of news stories and can only source so much, so I think there is certainly room for more competition in this space. You could be another voice, or drill down into specific topics (energy, environment, economy, etc).

Thanks for sharing! I am looking to develop it in Europe continent. I know www.allsides.com is very similar to what you mentioned, but do not know any related projects in Europe yet. I dig more deeper.

If one narrative is true, is the other not false?

If neither is known to be true, then is it just not a matter of belief preference?

If both narratives are true and worthy of consideration, do they really concern the same issue?

I think the main point we all need to understand that there many different people that see world different. And we should all respect each point of view. I hardly learn this lesson as not so long time ago I was one of those who used to see world from right and wrong narrative. But every day I understand that I know very little about world and that what was looking true yesterday is not necessary true today. I want that bot sides get equal possibility to express their point of view and get in to healthy dialogue, or realization that it is ok to have different point of view. And various point of view can coexist.
