Hi,
My name is Alec.
I live in Aberdeen, North East Scotland.
With Aberdeen being the Oil Capital of Europe, I inevitably found myself catering to the oil and gas industry upon leaving formal education at 16. I have since moved up the corporate ladder to currently be the warehouse manager of the same company.
I will admit to having good grades from school but have no further education (college/university), I am a strong believer that people skills are more important than a piece of paper (unless you plan to be a professional, where you need a degree).
I have made plans already to escape the clutches of a safe, fixed income and whilst everyone else around me moaned of sore heads and tiredness on the 1st of January this year, I made an affirmative start towards reaching my goal.
I hope to gain friends on a global scale and also a large amount of advice from this forum, whilst contributing as much as I can.
Kind Regards,
Alec
