This helped me a lot. This'll probably also help you if you:

- lack motivation/forgot how crappy it felt to work a job
- say you're working on your project, when in reality...you're sitting on your a$$ wasting time over menial things, like spending a day on the color of a CTA button.
- Need some structure to be productive in your life.
- Need some easy seed money.

Before the job, I didn't do anything productive. Within the first week of getting this job, I got more done than 2 months of being unemployed.

Why?

1. I realized the real value of my time. When I had no job, I thought I had all the time in the world, so I woke up and did nothing. But now, with a work schedule, I know that I only have a finite amount of time every day, so every minute is more valuable.

2. I remember how crappy it feels to work a job. The organization I'm under is great. I like my coworkers and everything, but I remembered that I don't want wait 30 years to go up the corporate ladder.

3. I'm forced to be productive. It's a bit hard to explain but I'll try. I'm used to working full-time, 8-9 hours a day, so my brain is usually productive for that amount of time every day, without me forcing it. Now that I'm part-time, I work 5 hours a day, so I'd usually have about 3-4 hours of productivity left in me. Not sure what it is, but after I shift my mind from PT work to my personal business, I can easily be productive until I need to sleep. That's easily an extra 6 or so hours of productivity, on top of what I'd usually have left in the tank. It's kind of cool.

I'm not saying EVERYONE should get one. But I'm saying don't rule it out.

I just spoke with my husband about quitting my full time job and grabbing a part time one to build my business. Thank you for your insight!
