With regards to this and somebody before posting about transferring money to and from the UK.

I worked in UK this summer and it took me a while (like, 30 minutes) to find out the best and cheapest way to transfer:

a) savings from my Polish account to my newly set up Lloyds account
b)earnings from Lloyds account to my Polish account

Now the bank rates were obviously overpriced and unclear what the total cost was going to be like. I've also read about complaints from other Poles about banks charging ridiculous money.

I've ended up finding and using service called England.pl. A big plus is that they make everything clear and pretty easy to set up. No hidden costs, just conversion rates. I reckon they make a good profit.

What you could do is make a comparison between different methods of transferring money. If somebody didn't already make it but I don't remember stumbling upon such site (and I've searched). If it's true, then this could carry a big potential. Especially when different amounts of money transferred would create different costs. So, let's say transferring up to £5,000 through England.pl would be cost-competitive, but over that amount some other service or a bank would charge a smaller price.
