Industry standard for video ads is $5-$12 per ONE THOUSAND full views! They also have all kinds of mysterious metrics to determine the quality of the viewer, which dramatically affects payout. $5 for 8.5 hours of spamming video ads to YOUR customers!
There are some apps that have made millions from this, but they had a unique strategy that rewarded players for watching full ads. They also had to keep switching advertisers due to policy changes they didn't control.
It's just a severe devaluation of something you do control. Like my friend who spent 2 weeks on a badass painting and sold it for $375...wtf is wrong with people?
If that's the industry standard, then you don't get to advertise to my customers. It will definitely be the paid or in-app purchase model for me.
