He used a complicated loophole to take control of the house. He's basically squatting on it. Now, if the original owner wants him out of the house, he has to pay off the mortgage in full. If not, after 3 years he can officially own the home after having paid just $16. Kind of shady but it's legal so you can't hate on him for it.
