I used to think that entrepreneurs starting out with lots of funding had an advantage over those starting from broke.

I no longer see it that way.

Came across a great resource. If you're pounding your head against the wall because you think a lack of finances is holding you back in your entrepreneurial endeavor, think again. Time for a mindset shift!

The resource is a book. It's called The Power of Broke, by Daymond John (he is mentioned from time to time on this forum).

***In the book, he describes how to get after it and be successful with no upfront venture capital.

***What especially struck me is that he describes how TOO MUCH MONEY to begin with can actually send a new business down the tubes (a must read if you're just starting out, like me).

I needed to shift my mindset from thinking that I "needed" more money to start with to understanding that CREATIVITY (what MJ calls Incremental Problem Solving) can more than make up for a lack of funds. Speaking of MJ, for many of us, his books are the reason we are here, and he started his business with no funding. Just stone cold creative problem solving.

Don't let a lack of funding stop you. Check out this book for motivation and let creativity move you forward.

Lack of funding is a big excuse people use, been thinking to get this book, ah procrastination..everyone can save money at a job and dump it into buisness investments.
