Hi, everyone! I'm back in this forum after spending some time lurking and reading.
I was working in a sales job for a while, but I finally decided to quit and take the first step toward self-employment. Currently, I’m collaborating with a freelancer who builds websites, and I’m learning web development from him. My initial plan is to help him find clients, but eventually, I aim to secure my own clients.
However, I’m still unsure about what my next move should be. The path ahead feels unclear, like walking through a cloud. I’d love to hear from someone who has been in a similar situation. How did you move forward?
Right now, I’m living on a tight budget. One option I’m considering is building an agency, but I’m not sure how to approach it, especially since I’ve never worked in an agency before. I have no idea about the tools, processes, or strategies they use.
Do you think connecting with other freelancers and entrepreneurs is crucial at this stage? At the moment, I’m not networking much, but maybe it’s something I need to focus on. I’d really appreciate any guidance or advice from those who’ve been down this road
