I am not sure how to ask this and actually communicate what I really mean but here goes:
Where do you get ideas for businesses in different industries? I am beginning to think that I have a limiting belief that I can only do business in the few industries that I know something about.
I then read these stories that seem like people all of a sudden had a great idea in an industry completely different than that they are working in.
Something like "How a diner dishwasher built web service for nuclear physicists and sold it to Google!"
I feel like without knowing the entire industry inside and out it would be impossible to create a service that would help. Am I missing part of the story? Or is the fault in my thinking?
Are there certain things that can be looked for to notice where there is a hole that could fixed?
