Hello,
I am Caleb Korir, 21, from Kenya. I am a final year student in University pursuing communication and journalism.
Here an abridged version of my story with Unscripted .
There's a time I had no tuition fee and I had to postpone my studies for three months. During those days I was stressed beyond stress and probably at verge of giving up. Luckily, as I was watching a YouTube video, someone recommended two books to read (The Millionaire Fastlane & Unscripted). That YouTuber was James Jani. With my curiosity, I embarked on looking for these two books and luckily acquired copies of them. It took me a whole month reading them non-stop - ingesting business wisdom. At the end I was ready to forgo my studies to pursue business but before I threw myself to that path, I remembered that education is important in steering my ship in the right direction. I returned to University armed with knowledge that's not available there.
Two years down the line, I have been able to set up my own internet media (JEDCA MEDIA) thanks to Unscripted wisdom not to mention other countless opportunities that Unscripted opened.
Now days I am busy building my company having in mind that employment will not actualize my dreams. However, I must say that through the Unscripted lessons, I got a job in one of local newspapers which I am now using to fund my entrepreneurial pursuits.
I have several writers under me on my company. I have not earned much on my company but yes I am earning. I know I still have have a long way to go and more lessons to learn but the journey to Unscrition commenced the day I set up my company.
I will be giving more updates on my progress, lessons and everything about running a media company in Africa.
