If I'm having a company based in Singapore (as an ex-pat), and I want to hire my first couple full-time employees, how would I go about drafting employment contracts for them? What if those employees are also ex-pats who don't live in Singapore?

Many thanks in advance for the replies! Hope to get a good discussion going.

My gut feel is you need to comply with the laws where your employees are based.

But if you were to give them Singapore law contracts, what's the downside? I'd go with that.
