Good afternoon all from a rainy UK,
Im Chris, im recently 33 and im so glad i picked up this book.
To be honest with you, i bought this book on kindle months and months ago, but just didnt bother to read it, thought I knew better, or that it would actually jsut turn out to be another get rich quick scheme ... heres how i made $150,000 in my first week kind of BS. But i recently watched a youtube video that said this book changed his life, and it was enough for me to pick it back up again, and im soo glad i did.
A little backstory on me, for as long as i can remember i have been desperate to get away form the normal of employed work, but i wont lie, comfort and convenience kept me here. Much like everyone else, i have mortgage and bills to pay and the comfort of knowing they are paid at the end of the month was enough for me.
I never understood people when they spoke of we they work and refered to it as "at my place" or "we" like it was their company, It annoys me so much still that they actually believe the waffle that comes out, deep down, and although im currently employed, I have NEVER shared these thoughts.
I have worked every day since turning 16, im not shy of hard work, and I have skills that im good at, and that I love doing, and for years I beleived that I should do something with those skills, but im learning now that, this is not the best use of my time.
I am SO ready to ditch the 9-5, escape the conformity and build something that will afford me the life i want.
My WHY is easy for me, to not have to live like this, like everyone else, having to watch the pennies come in and go out again just as fast then having to budget for the rest of the month. worrying if i can afford to put petrol in my car, or feeling guilty for buying a coffee while out shopping.
Enough is Enough for me, it actually makes me feel sick to think about continuing like this until i retire.
So thats me, ill be very active on here as i want to learn everything i can, and speak with people that are doing what im about to begin too.
@MJ DeMarco thank you for writing this book,
And nice to meet you all in advance.
Chris.
