Hello all !
About me:
i am a 20 y/o male in New Zealand
and have read TMF , found it a interesting read.
i live in a small rural town just south of Auckland (NZ's largest city)
the dairy farm / tradie type of town. the type of town that people of my age only aim to be
hairdressers (females) and builders,mechanics, panel and painters
kicked out of school at the age of 15.
since then i have not done any real schooling other than get the basics go to university if i choose to.
from the age of 16 i have worked 2 and a half years in a factory packaging herbs and spices, forklift driver in a wood yard, lived and worked in the uk for 5months pulling rubbish and roots from dirt in the back of huge dumper trucks and for 2 months up till the present day i have been working and a solo bouncer at a small local pub on thurs,fri and sat nights.
at this point in time i have $370 NZD ($330 USD ) to my name, no car and i am living at my mum and dads house.
just like the rest of the world the rescission has made it near impossible for many to find jobs.
i am getting $258.96 USD cash in hand after working 6pm-1am Thurs,fri and sat nights.
it is some money but not enough.
so i am thinking about importing rings and necklaces from sites like Alibaba to new zealand and selling them on Buy online and sell with NZ's #1 auction & classifieds site | Trade Me (a new zealand version of ebay)
at the start i plan on only spending $100 on "samples" of these items and see how i go from there.
as i have never imported or done anything like this before it will be a great experiment and experience.
any info/ help regarding importing anf stuff like that would be really great
