Hi! this is my introduction.
I'm Julio Andrés, 29 years old, from Santiago, Chile. I have a Software Engineer degree. I had been always interested in self-development, business and entrepreneur books. A couple of months ago I was looking for something to read and I came across an article about the book "Money:Master the game" from Tony Robbins, I was not very convinced but surely that would be my next book to read... until I read a comment in that article, a comment from a user without picture named Chris. Faceless Chris said:
"Before even thinking of purchasing this book from Tony Robbins, have a look at "the millionaire fastlane " by MJ DeMarco. This is the only truly honest business book I've read that spells it out clean and clear. No bull, just plain honesty. If you want to be wealthy, this is how you start. It's how I became financially free, and I'm 30... not 70."
And wow, that really got me, I immediately search for the book and download de sample, I finished in 10 minutes and bought the complete book. I really was looking to read something like that. I was tired of the same startup coolness hype, useless companies, fancy apps and shiny gadgets. Here in my city the entrepreneur scene is full of that hype. In the middle of reading the book I found this community and 'double wow', finally I come across a great community of doers, no bullshit, all action.
The past 4 years I had been working on mobile applications, mainly Android, for a B2B company. On the side I had always been working on personal projects, I made some apps and other no-tech project.
After much thinking and wandering, I can say that the next month is my final month here, and as an employee. I got money save and I'm going all in. I must say that TMF it was a boost to take my decision, so if you are out there anonymous-faceless-Chris, when you travel to South America, I will buy you a drink.
Happy to join all of you in this adventure. I will enjoy the ride.
