Hey everyone,

I am looking into what I can use to set up a review system for my online school.

Right now I just have people leave reviews on the marketplace thread here which is great but not a good longterm approach.

I don't really want to use Fb and have been looking for other options.

Some options are:

YOTPO

Trust Pilot

Reviews.io

Maybe someone can give some feedback on their experiences with this?

In general I want something where only actual students can leave reviews that is quite detailed and encourages plenty of real insight.

Thanks

Hi Rob

This is for you and also anyone else who may use review sites on what I consider to be good practice.

Trustpilot is good. I have never heard of the others you mention.

You can verify the reviews as customers if you wish. This will then show a tick and the word invited.

Realistically non customers are unlikely to leave a review.

The important thing in my opinion is that good or bad you answer every single review left.

We employ someone who solely deals with responding to the Trustpilot reviews so hopefully anyone clicking when they search for us (I won't say who 'us' is by the way) at least can see our response to negatives and hopefully decide to have a look at us anyway.

This should be quite simple for you to manage as you wont have many tens of thousands of customers. We have 500,000 so makes sense for us.

We do roughly as follows with review sites.

Good. Thanks, great to have you, remind them of calling for help etc etc

Bad we can verify. Always contact as Trustpilot shows we have contacted customer and write sorry about xyz, say we have contacted them, put 0800 number to call and almost do a mini-sales pitch on how we work - again for any potential customers reading but making it seem natural to the review.

Bad we cannot verify. (This is also a mini-sales pitch to eliminate or at least mitigate the review) We make it crystal clear that we support Trustpilot's aims in assisting potential customers to make up their minds however this is made impossible if reviews are left by anonymous parties that we cannot correspond with. Re-iterate how we work and ask them to call us on 0800 xxxx

Can't say I have ever seen any other company do this.

Dan

PS: In other words Review Sites are very much seen as a function of sales.

Well you can search for educational directories on google where u can list your course and then u can share the links to get reviews . List your course on top educational listing sites .
You can also optimize your Google My business listing for reviews .
