Hi Everyone I had an idea related to e-commerce which I think would be great for business owners and Internet Marketers alike and I wanted your advice on how to go about executing it. My question is how would you go about outsourcing web design and web development if you have an idea and requirements but no knowledge of code.

I have an overall knowledge of how the web works in regards to marketing, seo, monetization and all those things but can't read code if my life depended on it which would create security and quality concerns for me.

Any replies would be greatly appreciated thank you guys.

I'm in a similar position to you. I have identified a great need in a large market, and want to build a website, but have no coding experience.

Based on my Readings here I'm going to set up a simple landing page and do some very targeted marketing probably via facebook and google ads to drive some traffic.

I should be able to determine if what I'm offering is going to meet the need and a potential market size.

I'm going to look at a few cheap DIY sites and have a play around. The last one I did was £10 per month, but I could cancel at any point this requires no coding. To be honest last time this worked well and then I went and had the site built professionally once I knew my idea worked.

This time I am considering having a very basic, but professional site built by a web designer. Test then modify, test then modify. The reason I am going this way is because this time the potential customer will really want to see something professional. My last business this didn't matter as much.

I may end up paying a bit more this way, but I will talk through the approach with the web designer so as to hopefully not burn too much additional money.
Also if the idea falls flat at stage 1 or 2 I haven't committed to a massive monetary outlay.

Hope this helps a bit.
