I am glad to finally be a part of this forum, after having read MJ's book a few months ago and having scanned this forum for the past month.
A little about me:
I graduated from the Univ. of Texas at Austin 1.5 years ago with an undergrad in finance, and now I work in the institutional finance industry. I've always aspired to be an entrepreneur. I used to think the undergrad b-school education would almost automatically set me up for entrepreneurship, but it could only did so much. Most of my learning has been on the side, after work.
After playing with business ideas for an investment property, then for a retail-based e-commerce site, I truly absorbed that in order for your business to be super-fastlane, it must be an online, knowledge-based business. Limos.com for example, was selling knowledge (qualified leads) and had no inventory to maintain. I'm currently researching an online-based lead generation business as well.
