Franchise help dot com or self starter?

Hello Forum, in my catch all email the one I call the tester I am in maybe 50 or more email list from network marketing to Franchise Help looking for a good fit for a start up company of my own.Not 100 percent convinced plumbing ,electrical heating and air or even property ownership is my key to fastlane so I collect information. While I continue my education in hard Knocks academy. What should I focus my energy on franchises or developing a skill of my own to bring to market? My strength is in learning and giving .How could you control,leverage and monetize that? Clues welcomed if no direct answer is given just have mental block and seek wise advice
