Hi guys,
in 2010 they will open the first new international airport since 9/11 in Northwest Florida (Panama City to be specific).

Does anybody have experience with situations like this one where you have a fundamental improvement in infrastructure and access to the area? I heard Ft. Myers in the 80s was kind of a similar situation?

What happens to the prices of undeveloped land, residential homes etc? And what are the important factors to determine how much the region will actually profit from this new development (increase in tourism, residents, jobs)?
