I used to use Google's discussion search to find what people were saying about products before I bought them. I realized I could use it to find out what other businesses are doing right and wrong, and adjust for it.

The Problem?

Google has removed the Discussions option from searches.

The Solution?

They have a separate pages for Blog, Patent and Forum Searches.

Discussion
Blog
Patent

How To Use

For Discussions I try to find what issues people are having with a product. Generally if you type any product/niche, then add problem/issue/question/trouble/help, you will find something.

To further refine it, use the intitle:searchkeyword operator

Example for Searching a Single Site
If you want to search only one site use the site:website.com operator.

What This Is Good For

Finding a problem, validating a problem, finding bad and good reviews. Find out what people are struggling with. Play around with it and you can find a lot more.

Good looking bro! This def will help me more instead of googling and trying to find issues and solutions through yahoo answers and other sites. Gives me more options while cutting out the unnecessary searches that pop up
