Demand media is a large media corporation, they own many of the top content websites out there such as livestrong.com, ehow.com, cracked.com and apparently 30 others.

On there website it says they serve 100,000,000 visits per month.

That's 1,200,000,000 visits per year.

Assuming 5 pageviews per visit: 6,000,000,000 page views per year.

Demand media had revenues of 325,000,000 in 2011

That works out at 54.16$ CPM

To me it sounds insane, nearly 1 million$ per day in advertising revenue, and most of them sites have adsense on them.
