"I started Curse, not as a way to make money, but as a venture to help the community. As a lifelong gamer, I’ve always wanted to be a positive force in the gaming industry. My first taste of eSports was with my World of Warcraft guild. We were one of the most powerful and recognized guilds in the European PvE scene and we had the chance to briefly participate in some professional tournaments. Also, my older brother used to be a Counter-Strike pro gamer. He participated in high level tournaments in Korea, where I got the chance to experience Asia’s pro gaming world. I’ve always been interested in becoming part of the eSports scene in the U.S. In 2011, we saw an opportunity when League of Legends started to be a prominent figure in the pro gaming world. The company was growing and it seemed like the perfect moment to jump in, so we decided to acquire Team Curse."
