Discovered the site SiteStacks today. Would be very useful for any aspiring web developers / app developers out there who want to understand how other sites / apps are build. For example, after searching Venmo you can see that it uses the Python-Django framework for the back end, jQuery for client-side scripting, and MySQL / MongoDB (among others) for database management. May be worth checking out if you're among those trying to figure out what language to learn.
