Grateful to this forum (long-time lurker), hoping I can find some knowledge on the commercial side of the RE business.
About to graduate university, long-term plan is to own my own real estate development firm or own a portfolio of semi-passive commercial properties. Struggling to figure out the plan to get to that point.
Right know I'm thinking of getting a job as a commercial broker. Difficult job, straight-commission but I hear that with hard work you can get serious $, market knowledge, and connections - which I can use to start investing on the side, and eventually jumping into development.
Those in the forum who know this industry well, is this a good idea? Or are there are better ways to get to my long-term fastlane goal in real estate?
