I'm currently writing and self-publishing fiction but I have had a lot of wild and crazy experiences in my real life too (straight-out-of-a-movie crazy) and now spend my time living and traveling around Southeast Asia. Interesting adventures continue to pile up. I think I've got a lot of fodder for a memoir, possibly even a series of memoirs, but I always struggle with thinking how to put my scattered life into a cohesive story.
At the very least, I'm starting to keep a journal of my travels so I can use it as notes at a later date when I've figured it out.
Just thought I'd throw a thread out there and see if anyone has suggestions on top books offering advice about how to turn life experiences into a book. Didn't want to pick through a bunch of duds - I'd like to know the best resources out there. So I turn to the wisdom of the forum.
