Does anyone have family members living a lifestyle of hitting the redline everyday? I just wanted to hear some thoughts and opinions.
A family member of mine recently came to visit, and it's sad, she's under 25, and living the life of someone 45 on drugs. Shes not obese, she's EXTREMELY Obese, smokes cigarettes (a pack a day and weed), drinks, takes pills like mentos, and refuses to change anything, just eat and get high. She gave up after me and my other family convinced her to walk (gave up going 1/4 mile around the block).
Unfortunately, her mother and sister whom she grew up with (and stays with) embraces this lifestyle, and thinks its cool. She doesnt drive, work, or seems like she has had any inspiration to become better. Not sure if its the environment she's grown up in, or just the refusal to change?
My cousin told me that there's nothing probably anyone can do. She'll want change when something drastic happens.
I guess the adage "you can't bring a horse to water..." is applying to this situation.
