Im creating an e-book now. I dont plan to sell it...just use it as a tool to entice member signups.

Do i need to do anything legally?

I am going to:

1)Watermark it
2)Put a disclaimer from the llc on there

Again i dont plan to sell it so does it even matter, just put it out there? thanks.

NOT LEGAL ADVICE:

Just put it out there. You'll be good. When I sold mine, I threw a disclaimer page in there. "I make no claims/guarantees that this ebook will make you money in any way. Your success is the result of your own hard work and determination. The author of this book is not responsible for your actions." or something like that.

Last thing you want is to be sued over a promotional ebook.

Throw a page in there also that says something like "If you purchased this book, received this book as part of a larger package, or exhanced any goods or services in exchange for this book you've been scammed. Request your money back and visit ****.com for more information"

That will help prevent people from trying to resell on ebay and such, and subtly let the reader know you're on their side, gain trust, ect.

Check out ebooks the smart way from smartpassiveincome.com. You have to sign up for the mailing list to get it but it's frankly a mailing list you want to be a part of anyway. He doesn't sell a damn thing.
