Amazon Integration with Big Commerce, Shopify

We had Amazon Simple Pay integrated as a checkout option with BigCommerce. If a customer wanted to buy from our website but didn't trust us, they could do the transaction with Amazon Payments and Amazon would forward us the proceeds.

It wasn't a huge part of our eCommerce sales, but nice for customers who like doing business with Amazon.

Amazon discontinued it, and BigCommerce isn't adding Pay with Amazon (the new version) at this time. In my opinion, this is a huge mistake for BigCommerce. Amazon won't notice the missed volume, but BigCommerce and BigCommerce merchants might.

I am likely too invested in BigCommerce (templates, merchant account integration with Stripe, paypal integration, and just general pain in the a$$) to contemplate switching to a different off the shelf eCommerce provider.

I think Shopify still integrates with Amazon FBA which is a huge plus, but it looks like Shopify is not tied into Amazon Payments either.

Maybe this is a non-factor. I just like customers to be able to have options. Your thoughts?
