Name's Josh, recently married to a very supportive registered Nurse.
I have one business partner, far wealthier than I am. He has less to do with the day-to-day running of projects than me, but attends sales meetings.
Although I've always been my own boss, I've only going for passive income with large scalability for ~1.5 years, at which point I cut out a lot of revenue earning, time consuming services, which were almost all totally unrelated.
So there's 3 things which have been a large part of my life since, in chronological order.
1. Around 6 months spent on this, which looked promising in the MVP stage with early adaptors but turns out it needs a lot more development to compete and the problem we solved just isn't as widely spread as it seemed.
2. There is another branch to this, with an engine growth and customer segment pivot. It holds a lot of promise, and we've tested it on a decent scale using the Paid Growth Engine (direct mail). To get this off the ground would require investment, which we were recently (last month) offered in principle by a VC firm who we stay in touch with.
3. I've found a great niche, with similar potential to the above project (2), but does not require investment, so we approached a couple of firms two months ago. Initially really excited interest by the firms - which are both in the top 50 firms of their size in the UK. Moved quite slowly as they need to ensure compliance with all the various governing bodies of their industry and UK law - it's a completely new product that has never been done. It's looking like we're going to be starting a trial in the next couple of weeks with both firms.
