Hi all, my name's Adham and, at the time of writing, I'll be 18 in a few months.

OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED: http://www.thesocialentourage.com

I've been starting my own business for over 7 years - all of which provided me with the skills I needed to further myself in terms of entrepreneurial know-how.

I also have my own mentor, the ex-CEO of Pandora Jewelry and Louis Vuitton, Marcello Bottolli - we have frequent chats on my progress and he advises and helps me build up my business network.

I currently run an Instagram account with ~10.3k followers in the luxury/motivation niche.
I would like to monetize this on the road to £200 a day.
I'm also in the process of making a social media growth community which should help me achieve my goal of £200 a day via subscriptions/donations.

I'm looking for ideas that I could build up on to help me achieve me goal.

I'll also update the growth of my Instagram account, @visionary.motives here:

[27/10/15] 10.5k
[28/10/15] 10.7k
[01/11/15] 11.1k

long story short our if you tell your brain to look for ways to make 1k p/m it will find them (and nothing more). If you tell your brain to find ways to make 10k p/m it will find them...

realism = mediocrity

p.s. grats on the world class mentor, you are in a better place than most

Welcome, fellow UK entrepreneur here.

Did you have a plan for how you were going to monetise your IG channel before you launched it? Or did you plan to get the followers first then work it out?

What needs do your followers have that you could potentially satisfy? Why are they following you? What is in it for them? I ask because we could use a little more background to advise you, and to properly understand your journey.

Hello. Welcome to the forum. I take it is meant to be a forum. Although your title gets covered up right away, so not really sure what it's about?

The logo is a transparent .PNG with white text. Think its meant to be on a different colour background.

This is the logo made visible........

4_LOGOO.png

You probably want to fix that buddy.........

Also, I'm still struggling to understand what its all about. Social media growth.... its almost self-explanatory but not quite there. Whats in it for me? I'm going to grow my social media? How? Which channels? Grow following or sales? And so what anyway? Your marketing needs to be clearer.

If two people on this thread are struggling, so will your customers.

Yes, I agree. To me it was just a forum. Like any other forum. No direction, or why I want to join. What it's all about? Social Media: What makes it different than the rest? Why waste my time on there? What can I get out of it?

In theory your forum shares some similarities with this forum. The general theme of both forums is to enjoy success in one way or another, although yours is more specific in nature. The difference is that everyone knows why the FL forum is here, and what its USP's are. Its place in the market is defined and well communicated.

I appreciate your forum has hardly any posts, and may need some time to find its place naturally, but that will never happen unless your mission is clearly stated, adds value and is easy to understand.

Hi, I'm not entirely sure if you were talking about my forum or the FastLane?

Thanks for the feedback, it was the most specific and critical on the thread up to this point. I'm currently focusing on showing new visitors what we're all about right off the bat.

Thanks & I appreciate any more feedback you have to offer!

aim higher 10x
When people come here and say that they want to be making 100k / month, you guys say "start by making 1k / month". When guy comes here with a reasonable expectation, you tell him to aim higher! :D

haha this is true, albeit this usually still does apply when the poster is putting more thought into the colour of his new lambo than his business.

Aim higher, because as MJ said; their is no limit to how much you can earn and at the end of the day it will start with $.01. Also at the same time, if you aim higher and fall short, that short can be the max you would have set when u aimed lower. I'm sure we all know you can't go 0 to 100 without, going 1, 2, 3, 4; but the acceleration will depend on how much work you put in and that might make it look like 0 to 100.

Besides that, the forum / website looks sexy and I personally can see how it can grow into something. Remember to listen to others advice, and then make "YOUR" decision, because at the end of day.. regrets are a bitch

Fair point I guess!

Its a weird combination of shooting for the stars whilst keeping our feet firmly on the ground. Besides, we're only human. We all want to (and should) aim high, but sometimes the journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step (and all that jazz).
