Back in April, I came across a hackathon that just recently wrapped up—sponsored by companies like Google and XPRIZE, with a prize pool of over $2 million. The core requirement was simple: use Google Gemini to build an AI-powered business.
The competition just ended, and while the official winners across all categories won’t be announced until August 25th, there’s already a showcase of 1,401 live businesses built by participants from all over the world.
Out of pure curiosity and a search for inspiration, I’m definitely going to dive into these projects. Huge congratulations to everyone who submitted their work!
I highly recommend checking them out to see what people have actually managed to build in such a short time. It’s genuinely inspiring.
